Brian Palank for 25 Years of Volunteer Service

It is with great pleasure that we honor Brian Palank for 25 years of volunteer service in Section 13. Rarely does one of the 250,000 AYSO volunteers throughout the nation give 25 years of their valuable time so that our children can enjoy their soccer experiences. Brian has been a valuable asset for his region and more importantly, the children in the region. He has also been a mentor and an inspiration to the new referees that have volunteered their time to make the games safe.

We hope that Brian will continue to help with the AYSO mission of developing and delivering quality youth soccer programs based on a fun, family environment which follows our 6 philosophies.

Caucus Facilitators

Section Directors

I am working on finalizing the list of candidates for the Caucus Facilitators and we are in desperate need for additional Area Director candidates. Currently, I have 4 candidates. In order to be able to handle the breakout sessions that the Area Directors need, we need to have a minimum of 6 facilitators and 5 assistant facilitators.

We would love to have as many sections represented. Currently, the following sections are represented in the list of candidates: 4, 9, 12 & 13.

Please ask your Area Directors if they are interested and forward me their AD Facilitator Application. The application can be found on the National website under Events.

Region 567 Training Schedule

Section 13 Road Shows

Road Shows are training events highlighting basic AYSO courses to train the regional volunteers in their job specific duties. No high level training will be given at the road shows. For example, board orientation, treasurer, registrar, U6 coach, basic referee are a few of the courses given.

Also, regions are encouraged to send volunteers for the basic level of instructor in the three disciplines; Management, Coach and Referee. We hope that by regions having local instructors, we can increase the opportunity for the grassroots volunteers to get necessary training in the future.

As of January 31st; there are two scheduled Road Shows. One will be March 19th and 20th in Hanover, Pa and the other March 26th, 27th and 28th in Montoursville, PA.

The section staff is working on plans to conduct road shows in Elkins WV and Ohio.
